Nour Yassine

Intern Psychotherapist

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hello, my name is Nour Yassine and I am currently pursuing a Master's in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I earned my Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and Health Studies from the University of Toronto.

In the course of my academic and professional journey, I have spent over four years in a mental health setting, offering compassionate care to individuals navigating the challenges of depression and anxiety. This experience has not only honed my skills but deepened my understanding of the intricate nature of mental health.

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals can explore their unique paths to healing. This includes a combination of solution-focused, goal oriented and CBT techniques to help my clients achieve their goals.

As a child of immigrant parents with Middle Eastern heritage, I bring a personal understanding of the nuanced dynamics that arise within diverse cultural contexts. Growing up in a multicultural environment has shaped my perspective and instilled in me a deep appreciation for the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapeutic relationships.
