Hannah Lawson
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Research Specialization from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed her Master of Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO, with professional experience in community mental health supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges, addiction and recovery, disability, housing instability, and crisis.
Hannah believes that meaningful therapeutic work begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted. She strives to create a welcoming, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, better understand themselves, and work toward goals that feel meaningful to them. Her approach is person-centred, collaborative, and trauma-informed, recognizing that each person brings their own experiences, strengths, and needs to therapy.
Drawing on approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Hannah supports clients in developing coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and building resilience.
She recognizes that everyone’s journey is unique and works alongside clients at a pace that feels right for them, helping them explore what matters and find their way forward.
